ODU applauds the debut of a new private university in Offa town

The approval of Summit University, Offa, in Kwara State is a welcomed development for both home and diaspora members of  Offa Descendants' Union (ODU) as they expressed their joy over the approval.
 
The Secretary General of the union in a statement released, Chief (Mrs.) Wosilat MaCarthy on behalf of the National President, Alhaji Usman Najeem Yasin expressed their gratitude to God for his goodness over the primeval town, also felicitating with the town over the recent development.
 
The union opined that the coming of the university will open great doors to the town, such as, employment opportunities for the youth, enhanced socio-economic and educational status and also will be a source of pride for the town.  
 
ODU in his statement, also lauds the Nigerian Universities Commission (NUC) for indorsing the university to the Federal Government for approval.

The union also commended  late National Vice -President, Alhaji Tiamiyu Olatinwo for his tireless efforts as contributory to the achievement of this goal.
 
Further applauded were Olofa of Offa, Oba Mufutau Gbadamosi Esuwoye II, the Aremo of Offa,  Professor Jamiu Mosobalaje olawoye, the National President of ODU, and every one who facilitated the approval of the university for their steadfastness in ensuring that this dream came alive.
