The Obamas lend a voice to the girl child around the world

The President of the United States, Barack Obama supports the Let Girls Learn education Initiative, which was developed to provide girls around the world quality education.

The Let Girls Learn program started last year as a United State Agency for international development effort. The objective is to provide 'the public with meaningful ways to help girls get a quality education'

 The first lady expressed her passion for the girl- child that " I see myself in these girls",' I see our daughters in these girls'. Also, she stated her belief that having a good education is able to upgrade just about anybody's life.

The initiative will include programs based on education, healthy living, empowerment and leadership, eradicating early and forced marriage, gender based violence,

CARE, PBS Learning Media, the Center for Universal Education at Brooking Institution, U.N Foundation's Girl Up campaign, and Girls Scout of U.S.A are some of the private sectors in partnership for the initiative.
